Your new company AMB Recruitment Group are working closely with a well-established civil engineering contractor, who specialise in the Water and Housing sectors. This company has a proven track record with established relationships and has one multiple of industry awards. They are looking for a Senior Site Manager to join their successful and ever-growing business. This role will be based in the Northumbria area. Job details and responsibilities As the Site Manager you will be the key responsible person onsite. All persons working on that site will report to you, inclusive of labour, subcontractors, and engineers. It will be your responsibility to manage the workforce and ensure that the companies’ values, and behaviours are being followed.
Reporting to the Site Agent, the Site Manager will maintain regular communication around the key aspects of site delivery including, project progress, resources requirements and plant/material requirements etc.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accountable for running multiple sites at a time
Monitor weekly site costs and reports
Demonstrate full knowledge of various structural repair techniques
Carry out advanced surveys/inspections
Compile and maintain HSEQ documentation
Produce detailed reports with potential solutions for clients
Benefits of your new role To be successful in this role, you will have previously worked in a similar position and hold at least six years’ experience in the field. You will have an excellent understanding of concrete repair system applications and processes, in addition to experience with confined space working within the water industry. This vacancy is currently geared specifically towards a Site Manager role but in reality, the company could also consider someone in a management/engineering capacity i.e. Anything from PM down to site engineer.
This is a hands-on position, therefore you must be able to work at a fast pace and to tight deadlines. You will be a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach. You will also have strong commercial awareness and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also be confident using all Microsoft Office programs. A Full UK Driver’s license is a must for this role as you may be required to work away from home.
You will have a relevant construction qualification from college/university or time served site experience coupled with relevant SVQ level 3/4. A CSCS Supervisors card, SMSTS, MCL Foreman Level 6 and First Aid Training (3 Day) is essential.
The salary is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience. Generous holiday allowance and a company car/or allowance is provided. You will also get a fantastic private healthcare scheme, life assurance and excellent pension included amongst other internal benefits.
