Senior Facilities Maintenance Operative
£35000 per annum

AMB Recruitment Group are working closely with a well-known local organisation, who are looking for a world class Senior Facilities Maintenance Operative to join their team. The role will be based in Liverpool City Centre and will entail of leading and managing a team of 3 FMO’s to carry out repairs, PPM and reactive maintenance services.

The ideal candidate would need to manage the FMO team to support the FME’s with contracted services and event delivery all of which needs to be done within a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Job details and responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities and knowledge will include:

  • Support of the Senior FM manager to deliver the FM strategy contributing to the review of
                the strategy in relation to the constantly evolving business needs

  • Manage and lead your FMO team to ensure that the building is maintained to an agreed standard with all assets maintained as per compliance and legislation

  • Manage and lead the FMO team to ensure that event delivery, power & data are delivered to required standard

  • Work with colleagues across the wider Operations and FM teams to deliver departmental goals and objectives

  • Contribute on budgetary controls for the delivery of the FM planned and adhoc budgets

  • Deliver service improvements whilst reducing operating costs

  • Write business cases as and when required for procurement purposes or proposed improvements to the team and service delivery

  • Support compliance within legal framework of current H&S regulations applied to FM delivery

  • Ensure that all incidents are appropriately reported

  • Ensure statutory inspections are completed

  • Ensure FMO team or sub-contractors are completing building related risk register issues as assigned

  • Support the FM department with compliance of Fire Risk Assessment and strategy

  • The duties of the post may require weekend, evening and nightwork and the need to be on call to meet the needs of the agreed programme of activities, this is reflected in the grade and salary of the post

Benefits of your new role
To be successful in this role, you will be qualified to Degree level or hold all the relevant sector qualifications. You will also need strong previous experience in the same or a similar role.

The successful candidate will be well-organised, self-motivated, efficient, and capable of managing their workload. They will need to be computer literate and confident in using all computer systems/programs in connection with their role. You will also need to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

A salary of up to £35,000 per annum is on offer as well as a discretionary bonus.
