My client provides critical infrastructure and Energy support in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works. Our project department deliver high quality design and installation works to public services, particularly in the healthcare, energy and communications sectors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of M&E services on a significant new-build hospital project located in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in managing large-scale healthcare construction projects.

The position offers the flexibility of remote work, complemented by bi-weekly site visits to ensure project alignment and progress. The initial contract spans 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent role, based on performance and project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of all personnel is kept as the top priority and that all jobs are completed in line with H&S requirements.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Planning work and organising labour in line with service requirements and to ensure that all work is being completed on time and within budget.
  • Identifying ways to increase efficiency and improve productivity within onsite teams.
  • Corresponding with external stakeholders to document all activities.
  • Compiling and delivering presentations top clients and suppliers.
  • Collecting and collating data for forecasting and planning purposes.
  • Lead and motivate project teams ensuring that policies and procedures are consistently applied throughout each area.
  • Ensure that all work is compliance in line with contractual obligations, industry, and the company’s high standards.
  • Ensure that client updates and communication are timely and accurate, and that accounting is transparent throughout the contract.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working on NEC 3-4 contracts.
  • Previous experienced of working on healthcare project delivery from contract management perspective.
  • Recognised Building Services Qualification – ONC / HNC in Building services engineering.
  • Strong experienced of programme / contract management.
  • Strong mechanical & electrical system background to ensure full understanding of systems for installation on designated project.
  • Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
