I am looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist design and manufacturing company based in Sheffield on a permanent basis. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components and connections using Solidworks and AutoCAD. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on exciting projects across civil, structural, and mechanical sectors, contributing to high-profile bridge and building solutions.

Key Responsibilities of Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Design and develop mechanical components and connections
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings from sketches
• Conduct design calculations using MathCAD
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions

  
Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing mechanical components and connections
• Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD
• Experience using MathCAD for calculations
