Salary: £35,000 – £48,000 (dependent on experience)

A globally recognised manufacturer based in York is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to work with cutting-edge technology and make an impact in industries such as aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical, and optical.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing small-scale, high-precision components used in highly regulated industries. You will play a key role in developing innovative products that are sold worldwide, contributing to the company’s continued growth and success.

Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
• Experience working in highly regulated industries
• Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Inventor, or SolidWorks)
• Research and development experience with mechanical components
• Strong knowledge of materials and their performance in precision applications
• Clean room experience (desired but not essential)
