I am currently working with a leading, employee-owned construction company that’s looking to appoint a Sales Manager on a permanent basis. This role is open to candidates anywhere in the UK, with flexible/hybrid working offered for the right person. The ideal Sales Manager will have experience in the steel construction industry, along with a background in both sales and estimating.
  
It’s a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join a well-respected company known for delivering major projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and retail sectors. They’ve played a key role in some of the UK’s most iconic builds and continue to grow with a strong pipeline into 2025 and beyond.

Overview of the Sales Manager role:

• 50%: Closing deals, agreeing T&Cs, interpreting technical specifications
• 30%: Tendering and pricing
• 20%: Leading and developing the Estimating Team

Requirements of the Sale Manager:

• Degree in Engineering, Building Studies, or Construction
• Background in structural steel, engineering, or construction environments
• Proven sales success with figures to support
• Strong estimating experience and a clear understanding of specifications
• Experience pricing projects and overseeing costing processes
• Ability to read technical drawings/specs and communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants
• Strong leadership and team management capability
