Our Projects
J18 Bridge Repair, Cheshire
2 Years
AMB Recruitment Group is proud to have contributed to an award-winning bridge repair project on the J18 in Cheshire, supporting Highways England in maintaining critical transportation infrastructure.
The River Dane Bridge was built in 1962. It is an 85-metre-long structure that carries the M6 motorway over the River Dane between junctions 18 and 19 near Holmes Chapel. It has been subject to previous surveys and repairs over the years, and although these earlier repairs have performed well, a cathodic protection system has now been specified to minimise future corrosion.
"AMB provided a team of up to 20 skilled tradesmen, including experienced shuttering joiners and concrete operatives, for this award-winning 2-year bridge repair project on behalf of Highways England. Our commitment to quality and timely delivery played a role in the project's recognition.”
Scope of Work
Works included survey, testing, removal of delaminated concrete by hydro demolition, reinforcement cleaning and repair followed by concrete repairs and the installation of a cathodic protection system. AMB sourced and supplied a skilled workforce provision for up to 20 experienced tradesmen, including:

- Concrete Operatives
Expertise in infrastructure repair demonstrated AMB's ability to support complex and time-sensitive highway infrastructure projects.
Our Commitment to quality ensured that our team's work met the high standards required in an infrastructure.
